Welcome to Teglan Fisheries, a family run fishery with something to offer everyone.

Rules

The fishery’s few rules and regulations are designed with the customer’s continued enjoyment in mind.

Caring for the fish, for example, means that no keep nets are permitted, barbless hooks only are to be used and all fish must be netted, regardless of size. Also, all nets brought from outside the fishery should be dipped in our disinfectant, to prevent disease. Following these simple guidelines ensures everyone can enjoy these beautiful specimens in perfect condition.

Two rods per person are permitted, always to be fished from the level, well appointed pegs.

All fishermen are expected to have a current fishing licence.

An ‘honesty box’ is supplied for people to contribute towards the cost of tea and coffee – customers are asked to pay 40p per cup.

Children under the age of 16 are welcome at Teglan, provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult.

The only banned bait are nuts.
